Maryland Retailers Alliance Legislator of the Year

Louis L. Goldstein Public Service Award
The Maryland Retailers Alliance’s Annual Service Award was initiated in 1985, and renamed in honor of Maryland Comptroller Louis L. Goldstein in 1998. The award honors recipients not only for their business accomplishments, but also for giving back to their community and for their extraordinary contributions to the vitality of the retail industry.

Maryland Retailers Alliance Retail Theft Prevention Award
The Maryland Retailers Alliance’s Retail Theft Prevention Award was established in 1999 as the Law Enforcement Award to recognize the activities, accomplishments, and performance of law enforcement officers who affect the daily business lives of Maryland merchants. The title of the award was updated in 2023 to acknowledge the expanded efforts of loss prevention and judicial professionals in combating and preventing retail crime. Nominees for the award are evaluated based on the following categories:
- Crime prevention efforts geared toward retailers and their customers
- Investigation and apprehension of persons or organizations that victimize retailers and their customers
